1.Overview of Taipower's promotion measures for road-smoothing project

Due to the vast supply of power and the large number of users, Taipower has extensively used underground power distribution to meet the government's policy and the needs of the public. The underground pipelines, manholes and handholes cover most of the main and secondary roads. Since 2008, in order to cooperate with the road-smoothing project, in addition to reducing the use of the hole cover and cooperating with the competent authorities to strengthen the implementation of road-smoothing measures, the inspection and maintenance operations around the road surface and the hole cover along the underground distribution line have been continuously strengthened. It is hoped that the damage to the road surface will be reduced and the occurrence of traffic accidents will be reduced.
The implementation of the measures to strengthen the road-smoothing project of Taipower is as follows:

(1)Shorten the repair time of the hole cover, complete the temporary repair within 4 hours after receiving the notification, record the case and complete the follow-up repair work to reduce the road traffic accident caused by the unevenness around the hole cover.

(2)Through the implementation of the regular hole cover inspection and maintenance plan, increasing the frequency of inspections and increasing the number of inspections by the supervisor at the work site, the number of self-inspection repairs of the hole cover is effectively improved, so as to reduce the number of external notifications and take passive measures. Take the initiative to actively improve and prevent the unevenness around the hole cover to ensure the safety of the people.

(3)On-site spot checks are conducted every month to supervise the implementation of road-smoothing operations and to ensure that problems are indeed improved.
