II. Charge Introduction

1. Late Payment Charge(If the amount is less than NTD 5, it wound be charged as NTD 5):

*If the electricity bill is not paid until the "next charge date", the power supply will be temporarily suspended without notice.

After the payment period is over, late payments will be calculated based on a daily interest rate plus 1% of the basic lending rate for the Bank of Taiwan (at the 1st of the month for the electricity bill due). These charges will be applied to the next electricity bill. If the electricity bill is not paid by the following meter reading date, the power supply will be suspended.
 

2. According to the provisions of the Electricity Act, Taipower Company has submitted Business Regulations and Rate Schedules to the Ministry of Economic Affairs for approval. Copies of these can be obtained from local branch offices (read the back for details) or through Taipower's official website.

 

III. Meter Information

IV. Announcement

  1. Taipower Company doesn’t ask our customers to go to any specific websites or perform any operations at ATMs. If you receive any suspicious calls or text messages, please call the 165 anti-fraud line or toll-free customer service hotline 1911 immediately.
  2. Customers with winning invoices will be notified by mail. Please bring the electricity bill with the "award receipt" to claim rewards from the Bonus Agency. Customers can check the invoice information by visiting Taipower Company’s electronic invoicing website.
  3. Installation of phase protection devices is recommended for electrical equipment that may suffer damage during phase loss or reversal.
  4. The average electricity price per kWh in the current period is the sum of the Customer Charge, Energy Charge and Allocation of Public Charge, divided by the number of electricity consumed. If there is meter reading failure or meter failure during the current period, the data is estimated and for reference only.
  5. Customers with excessive electricity charges will be notified by mail. The customers can choose for the refund to be transferred to designated accounts or credit cards or deducted from their next bills.
  6. Taipower Company's charges for electricity applications are clearly stipulated. There are no additional fees to be charged except for the formal notification.
  7. When changing the electricity equity, please go to Taipower Company as soon as possible to transfer the power supply contract to protect your rights. If electrical equipment will be added or changed in the future, customers need to submit applications to Taipower Company for adding additional electricity to ensure electrical safety.
  8. In order to secure power supplies during typhoons, please improve the maintenance of generators and pumping equipment. Sandbags or waterproof gates also need to be placed or installed at the entrances and exits of basements.
  9. Using any electrical appliances to make meters inaccurate will be resulted in illegal use of electricity. Not only have to pay an additional amount of electricity charges, but also the offense of larceny as provided for in Articles 320 and 323 of the Criminal Code.
