Renewable power wheeling and direct supply regulations, contracts and tariffs

The Amendment to the Electricity Act was promulgated on January 26, 2017, and the relevant power wheeling business of transmission and distribution （T/D） shall be implemented within one year from this date. After considering the power dispatch related operations, the power regulation authority may apply for the approval from the Executive Yuan to postpone the implementation date. The implement date of postponement is allowed to apply for twice only. The first time of postpone is a year limit；the second is to six months limited.

In accordance with the provisions of Articles 9, 10, 45, 70 and other relevant provisions of the Electricity Act, renewable electricity and self- use power generation equipment could choose power wheeling or direct supply.

As the Electricity Act is amended, the first stage of implementation depends on the overriding policy of green energy in order to stimulate renewable energy market .Therefore we formulate the rules, contracts of transmission, distribution wheeling services and related tariffs for overriding policy of green enery.
