Taipower won the gold medal for the "Taipower D/S ONE" in the "Outstanding Project Category-Education Promotion" of the "Corporate Social Responsibility Award", sharing the glory with other well-known enterprises such as Taiwan Mobile and Cathay Life Insurance who are also winners of the Award. In addition to the continuous effort of stabilizing the power supply, Taipower also actively responded to the international trends of energy transformation and sustainable development, said Taipower. The renewable energy education space, "Taipower D/S ONE", created based on the branding concept won the gold medal. The "Global Views Monthly" has been organizing the "Corporate Social Responsibility Award" since 2005 for 17 consecutive years. It conducts full assessment on the overall CSR performance of enterprises in the aspects of corporate governance, social performance, environmental performance, and information disclosure transparency. The Global Views Monthly is the first global Chinese media that promotes CSR assessment and its Corporate Social Responsibility Award is the most renowned CSR award in Taiwan with the longest history, attracting more than 100 enterprises across the nation to compete for the Award.
Located in the New Banqiao Special District, Taipower D/S ONE is the first renewable energy themed exhibition hall in Taiwan created by Taipower that integrates with substations. The main feature of Taipower D/S ONE is its immersive interactive experience that combines energy and gym. The exhibition connects digital artistic technologies and body actions, such as bouncing, dancing, basketball shooting, battle rope swinging, and flywheel riding, to the working principle of renewable energy power generation, allowing visitors to learn about renewable energy while playing. Since the opening at the end of 2019, there have been nearly 70,000 visits. In 2020, Taipower D/S ONE has won the Red Dot Design Award (Brands and Communication Design) and the MUSE Award of the American Alliance of Museums. This year, it was honored by the Corporate Social Responsibility Award of the Global Views Monthly.
- The main feature of Taipower D/S ONE is its immersive interactive experience that combines energy and gym, connecting body actions, such as bouncing, dancing, basketball shooting, battle rope swinging, and flywheel riding, to the working principle of renewable energy power generation, allowing visitors to learn about renewable energy while playing.
- Taipower D/S ONE launched the "Renewable Energy Flight VR Experience" in April this year. It is the first in Taiwan to adopt six-axis robot manipulator for VR experience. Moreover, it uses the actual footages recorded by FPV drone to take people for a flying journey to the Gaomei Wetland Wind Farm in Taichung, and into the internal structure of a wind turbine.
Taipower stated that besides the "EnerGym", the first floor of the Taipower D/S ONE serves as the "PowerLab", inviting artists, designers, energy teachers and other Makers to station in and design workshop based creative courses that combines teaching and experiments for students and parents. The courses guide students to explore renewable energy based on their own hands-on work. In addition, regular seminars and sharing sessions are held regularly, making Taipower D/S ONE the most interesting exhibition hall in Taiwan.
