- Taipower's first World Power News Weekly podcast program is now available on all major platforms for the public to improve their knowledge of electricity.
In line with the new wave of "learning as you go" trend, Taipower has launched a podcast to make the "audio" power knowledge available at all times! The flexibility of podcast listening has made it a new channel for modern people to receive information. Taipower has also kept up with this wave. In January, it launched a podcast channel, which is the first among state-owned enterprises. According to Taipower, the World Power News Weekly is Taipower's first podcast program. The program organizes the latest reports and commentaries, and shares the latest trends in international energy and power related issues. Moreover, it is now extended to major platforms such as Google Podcast for free access. In the future, it may partner with external experts to create multiple types of programs.
Taipower pointed out that with the development of 4G networks and Bluetooth headsets, cell phones have long been a part of daily life. In addition, modern people are busy and only have fragmented time for handling personal affairs or pursuing further education. This has led to the creation of the new podcast media! Unlike radio programs, podcasts offer more flexible listening time and more diversified content options for people to acquire new knowledge anytime and anywhere. 2020 has been named the First Year of the Podcast Era. Accordingly, Taipower has also transformed to become the first state-owned podcaster, and will continue to transmit power information through new channels.
Taipower explained that the World Power News Weekly is the first podcast program produced by Taipower. Its content focuses on sharing the latest trends in international energy, power, environment, and industries. It also collects and analyzes information from news reports, magazines and think tanks. From energy transformation, policy direction to insightful analysis of market competition issues, the program quickly provides audience with a rich feast of knowledge.
Taipower further explains that trial run of the World Power News Weekly was launched on the SoundOn platform on January 5, 2021. It now has a total of 6 episodes. The content includes energy issues pertaining to the Brexit, US President Biden's clean energy policy and the recent heated discussion on the causes and impact of the power outage in Texas, USA. Taipower indicated that the newest episode will explore the latest information on global carbon neutrality and clean energy in terms of the three key dimensions, namely national policies, energy industry attitudes and emerging technologies, in order to understand the goals and efforts of governments and groups on these topics.
Taipower pointed out that in the future, it will continue to deepen the program content, expand multiple program themes, adjust program types, and actively invite collaboration with experts and scholars from the power industry. It also emphasized that to maintain communication with the public, it will attempt to reach all levels of audiences as much as possible. Taipower is very willing to try emerging platforms and strive to produce professional content that is more in tune with the lives of the people. The World Power News Weekly podcast program is now available on Apple Podcast, Google Podcast, KKBOX, Spotify, SoundOn, Listen notes and other platforms. Those who are interested are welcome to go online and search World Power News Weekly to improve their knowledge of electricity.
