Nuit Blanche is an art festival held at night in cities around the world, which originated in Paris in 2002 and is regularly held on the first Saturday in October throughout the night with an appeal of openness, free-entry and citizen-participation. There have been 120 cities joining this activity over the past 15 years. Taipei City Government responded to Nuit Blanche for the first time last year by calling for 200,000 people to come to the Taipei City Walls for this activity. The festival is to be held for the first time in Gongguan WenLuoTing area this year, which is also Taipower's first time participating in this activity. Taipower shall open its building space tonight (20171007) till tomorrow morning for the performance and artistic exhibition of this event. Besides the 'Fluorescent Magic Carpets Square' created by Italian artists, there will be performance led by Chen Hsing-ho, the first Taiwanese performer stepping onto the stage of Cirque du Soleil, together with the soundtrack arranged by DJs, which shall change Taipower Building into an 'Electro-Light Circus Arena' to accompany people to stay up on this Nuit Blanche.
