The unit with the most of 'in service' historical heritages in Taiwan is Taipower! Since the history of Taiwan's power industry development is more than a hundred years, and along with the historical development and factors such as transfer of ownership of land and buildings, some heritage architectures related to power, salt and mining industries are still been retained till now. Taipower gathered the historical data of nearly one hundred valuable cultural heritages from 13 heritage architectures certified by the government to hold the 'Heritage Buildings Exhibition' for the public to appreciate the beauty of power industry heritages.
The press conference for the launch of Taipower's 'Heritage Buildings Exhibition' was held today. Taipower stated that this is the first time for Taipower to exhibit the historical data gathered from 13 heritage architectures including six heritages: the Taiwan Electric Power Company President's Lodging, Crown Prince Chalet, Jinguashi Shinto Shrine, Lin-nei Zhuo-shui Power Station, the previous Wushulin Salt Production Company's Office and Zhuzaimen power plant as well as seven historical architectures: Badouzi Qing Dynasty Official Coal Mines, Japanese style Dormitory located at No.10, Lane 8, Qingtian St., ShueiNanDong Smelter, Cukeng Power Plant, Wulai Power Plant, Guishan Power Plant and Dongxing Hydropower Plant. Taipower will also offer creative products combined with these historical architectures such as heritage calendars and paper tapes to help people feel that 'the electric power heritage is right beside you'!
